Intermountain Professional Foundation
Nonprofit

Hey there! Nonprofit based in sunny Billings, MT.

The Intermountain Professionals Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Mitzi Racine and Dacia Racine in 2023 in Billings, Montana, assists nonprofits and tribal nations in addressing systemic healthcare disparities in Indigenous communities. The two Native professionals utilize their combined experience of over 20 years in frontline health education, outreach, and preventive program development to complete their essential mission.
With that approach, IPF helps tribes and nonprofits across the Intermountain West: Montana,Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, New Mexico, and Nevada. There, they teamed with tribes, state and federal agencies, and grassroots organizations to design and implement programs that promote wellness, equity, and culturally grounded care.
With strong community roots, a proven history of impact success, and an unobstructed vision for equity, the foundation is committed to creating lasting change that reflects the strengths, needs, and voices of the people it serves.
They have led efforts in chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, behavioral health promotion, and COVID-19 emergency response and recovery. Their leadership was instrumental in launching culturally specific education campaigns, mobile health outreach, and community-based testing and vaccination efforts during the pandemic — ensuring services reached the most vulnerable populations.
